Asama Memorial Hall
Biker’s mecca, motorbike exhibition hall.

We are temporarily closed from 11th April to 31th May.

In November 1955, the first motorcycle endurance race in Japan, the ‘Asama highland race’ was held in the Kitakaruizawa area of Naganohara. Thanks to this race, Japanese motorbike ability developed drastically and also a lot of new riders entered the sport. The Asama area has come to be called the ‘birthplace of motorcycle sport’.

Asama Memorial Hall was established to pass on this history for many years.

Various famous motorbikes including the ‘Rikuo’ are displayed in Asama Memorial Hall to tell the story of motorbike history. This exhibition has been made possible with the assistance of the ‘Asama meeting club’ motorbike fan club for lovers of the Asama area.
